Residential Shredding

Residential Shredding Services

With personal identity theft and corporate espionage emerging as two of America’s fastest growing crimes, Proshred® has developed a convenient residential document shredding service that reduces the risks associated with disposing of personal and home-office confidential material.

Proshred®’s Residential Information Security Containers (RISCs) are central to any personal or home-office shredding program. RISC boxes act as a convenient central repository labeled with useful information about shredding residential and home office materials. By having a single designated location to collect and keep confidential papers ready for disposal, individuals immediately start to maintain a system for ensuring their security. RISC boxes are available at any Proshred® office.

Once you have collected your unwanted confidential information in RISC or file boxes, Proshred® provides several alternatives for having your residential documents securely shred. Customers can have their confidential documents shredded on-site on their premises; they can use our office drop-off service; or alternatively, they can participate in one of our ongoing community shredding events.

Multiple Shredding Options

After you have collected your unwanted sensitive documents in RISC or file boxes, Proshred® Connecticut provides many options for having your residential documents shred securely. First of all, customers can have their documents destroyed on-site at their location in Connecticut, or they can use our office drop-off option. Alternatively, they can come to one of our regular, community shredding events in Connecticut.

Proshred® Shredding Services

Although our on-site residential shredding service is available for jobs of all sizes, a minimum charge per visit will apply and we recommend customers have enough volume to make each shred as cost-effective as possible. If customers prefer, they can deliver sensitive documents to a local Proshred® office, where they will be collected, destroyed and recycled.

Additionally, our local Proshred® offices conduct regularly scheduled shredding events offering secure destruction of confidential documents for residents and home-office workers. Using one of our state-of-the-art on-site mobile shredding trucks, we host events in central areas to which customers can personally deliver their materials. Any net proceeds collected from these shredding events are donated to local charity and community groups, thus offering consumers a secure, environmentally conscious and community-friendly system for disposing of sensitive information.
