For the 6th year in a row, we are excited to partner with the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) for the Annual Shred for Cancer Nationwide Shredding Event! Annual Shred for Cancer Nationwide Shredding Event
From May to June, PROSHRED® Baltimore will be parking our on-site shredding trucks in designated areas throughout the nation to collect unwanted confidential documents for destruction. PROSHRED® Baltimore employees will be accepting donations from customers during this great event to help spread awareness and fund cancer research! We encourage members of the community to come to support this great cause, as it’s a great chance to take care of those unwanted documents while doing good for your community.
Why It Matters to Us
This cause is near to our hearts, because one of our own franchise owners, Dave, was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor a little over 6 years ago. After seeing his strength during his fight to beat this disease, we were inspired. That’s why for the past 6 years, we’ve dedicated May and June to this great cause.
Benefiting the AICR
All proceeds from this event will be going to support the AICR’s research and education efforts. The AICR is a foundation that conducts extensive research to shed light on specific lifestyle choices and events that can increase the risk of cancer, with a focus on preventive education to lower your risk. We feel one of the best ways to combat cancer is to be proactive, and the AICR has made great strides in discovering what habits are correlated with the development of this terrible disease.
